Seven riders showed up at the Mobil gas station on Michigan Ave. on the border with Detroit for a 20 mile 1 hour slow roll through Detroit. Thanks to Lee for finding some shade in the unseasonably warm early October sun. After a ride briefing and everyone connected to the Webex conference call for tour narration, we were off!

The annual Michigan Thumb Ride was held Saturday August 12th, 2023 with 6 riders attending. The ride to the meet-up spot (Marathon Gas Station in Auburn Hills) started off dry for everyone fortunately, despite last-minute threats of morning rain in the tri-county area. Everyone showed up at the correct location, despite a “first” for the Thumb Ride–meeting at the Marathon gas station further up the road from where we normally meet (at the BP gas station). The only reason for the move was cheaper gas, and it was! ….$0.20/gallon cheaper! 
2023 FMC Summer Picnic (Highland Charter Township, MI)
This year’s annual summer picnic saw 27 club members, family, and guests join in on the fun at Hickory Ridge Pines Park on what turned out to be a spectacular mid-70s°F day.

Five riders departed just before 6:30 from our temp meet up location at I94 and Haggerty.
We had a smooth ride south to our southernmost point at Stony Creek and Telegraph Roads. We traveled via Hannan Rd., Waltz, Oakville Waltz, Carlton West, Maxwell, W Sigler, Exeter, and Stoney Creek. There were nice clean sweeps and some beautiful and interesting views.
