Each month members will submit a photo of their motorcycle. Then we’ll vote on which photo is our favorite. The winning photo will get top billing on the web site for the winning month. We’ll assemble all of the winning “Bike of the month” photos for a “Bike of the year” voting session. These photos are used to put together the annual Ford Motorcycle Club Calendar, and the Bike of the Year winner will grace the cover of the annual calendar!
Here are the rules:
- One high-resolution photograph per month per member.
- The same member can’t win two months in a row.
- Photo must include a motorcycle owned by the submitter or another member of the club.
- Photos of a bike you’re renting or borrowing on a trip are fine. If that’s the case, please include some sort of explanation or make sure you’re in the photo! Basically, this should be a bike you’re using.
- Same photo can’t win more than once.
- Same photo can’t be submitted more than once per year.
- Must be “family safe” – no nudity, etc.
- The contest administrator may re-title the photo if deemed necessary.
- Does NOT have to be a recent photograph.
- Deadline for photo submissions will be 5pm on the 24th of each month or whenever the contest administrator announces.
- Voting period for each month will be the 25th through the last day of the month or whenever the contest administrator announces.
- Submit photographs to photocontest@fordmotorcycleclub.org
Decisions of the photo contest administrator are final. If you believe that a photo submitted violates the rules, please contact photocontest@fordmotorcycleclub.org prior to a winner’s announcement.
If the focus of the image is a person, you should get permission from them before you submit the photo.
Remember that we print versions of the photographs for a calendar and display them on Ford campus TV monitors, so your submission should be in a suitable resolution and orientation. This translates to at least 3450×2700 or higher for a “standard” format image.
Any of these rules may change to help make the contest go more smoothly. Changes will be announced on the mailing list and the contest page on the web site will be updated.
